ABOUT mELANCHOLY:
The imagery was inspired by a painted vinyl I created a bit ago, which features use of symbology and dark/occult imagery.
Collagraphy uses reductive (carving into the surface) and additive (collaging materials on top of the surface) components to establish lines and shading in the image. I used various types of textured paper and hot glue to create this image.
